Kara K.

Kara is a mom of “one and won” (at least for now), as well as a perinatal psychotherapist, PSI board member, volunteer and Climb Leader, author, and advocate.

A pandemic mom who had to leave her full-time job and jumped into self-employment as a result, she has deep beliefs around the need for better policies that support pregnant, postpartum, and young families in the United States.

Kara is also an advocate for the disability community and an adjunct professor in a graduate school of social work in Northern New Jersey.

Her roots in perinatal work overlap with her work supporting families, as well as her own experiences with postpartum PTSD, OCD, and anxiety. She is an EMDR certified therapist as well as perinatal mental health certified (PMH-C).
