Betti Rooted Lionheart
Betti Rooted Lionheart is a mother of two teenage sons, a shamanic healer, and a facilitator of The Work That Reconnects, a group process developed by Joanna Macy to help people face ecological and cultural despair with resilience and connection. With a PhD background in environmental studies, Betti’s early life was shaped by despair over the planet’s future, a traumatic postpartum fistula injury, and a deep sense of abandonment.
Through her healing journey, she discovered shamanic practices, soul retrieval, and the importance of building intentional community. Today, she offers one-on-one shamanic healing, teaches people to shamanic journey, and leads a monthly Queer Despair and Resilience Circle.
