Rachell Dumas
Rachell Dumas is a New Orleans native, a registered nurse with a background in critical care and trauma, and a dedicated maternal health advocate. Her personal journey through recurrent pregnancy loss and high-risk medical challenges led her to found A Light After Nine, a nonprofit providing resources and advocacy for families navigating infertility and loss.
Rachell is currently a doctoral student in nursing informatics and the developer of SpeakRx, an app designed to empower patients to advocate for themselves in clinical settings. Her story and advocacy work have been featured in Essence Magazine, Women’s Health, and The Bump.
